Welcome to POCKET, the eWallet service of ABG TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED under the Payment Service Provider (PSP) license issued by Bangladesh Bank committed to revolutionizing the digital payment landscape in Bangladesh, with a strong focus on convenience, security, and financial inclusion. Our mission is to simplify and enhance the way people transact and manage their finances in Bangladesh. We aim to provide a secure, user-friendly e-wallet service that promotes financial empowerment, drives economic growth, and fosters a cashless society.

Account Deletion of POCKET Account

Through adherence to these guidelines and clear communication with customer service, you can efficiently commence your request for account removal and guarantee its prompt processing. Users are not charged if they close their POCKET User Account at any time, but they are still liable for any unpaid debt related to the account. 

Placing Deletion Request

  • To initiate the account removal process, users must contact the support team at support@abgpocket.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." The support team will ask for verification of identity before proceeding with the manual removal process. When initiating the account removal process, you must provide the following details:
    • Your Pocket Account Number
    • Your Account ID Verification document (such as NID, Trade License, Birth certificate, etc.)
  • Users can also place the account deletion request by physically visiting a support center. During any in-person interactions, you must bring along your verification documents (e.g., NID, photograph, Trade License) to facilitate smooth processing.
  • Users can also submit a request from the Pocket website (https://abgpocket.com/account-deletion-terms) and the Pocket Customer Support team will contact the user and initiate the process.

Verification of Deletion Request

  • You will need to confirm their identity as proof of ownership of the account. This confirmation can be conducted via a phone call from Pocket Customer Support Center or in-person interviews at the support centers. 
  • You will undergo a randomized questioning process based on the details provided in your KYC form, Trade License, and transaction history to confirm ownership of the account or business. 
  • The Key Account Manager assigned to merchants may assist in this verification process.

Final Consent

  • Once your identity has been confirmed, you will be asked to provide final consent to the Customer Support agent to remove your account from the Pocket system. 
  • The verification of your consent will trigger the account removal process. 
  • This process may occur immediately or commence a countdown to allow you a window to manage any remaining balance within a specified timeframe.

Confirmation of Pocket Account Deletion

Confirmation of successful account removal will be sent to your registered phone number via SMS.

Acceptance of other terms

  • Upon account closure, any ongoing, scheduled, or incomplete transactions will be terminated, and users are required to withdraw or transfer any remaining funds. Closure of an account may be restricted in certain circumstances, such as ongoing investigations, disputes, negative balances, or account holds.
  • Once the deletion process starts, the back office team will terminate the user account, restricting all kinds of access to our services (including mobile app, web portal, other applications).
  • POCKET reserves the right to archive user information to comply with regulatory guidelines asserted by Bangladesh Bank.
  • POCKET reserves the right to halt the deletion process in certain circumstances, such as ongoing investigations, disputes, negative balances, or account holds.
